By the time I got there Sawadee had sorted out the hotel for me over the phone. When I arrived the infomous hotel manager was there waiting for me with a special drink for stress. Sawadee had explained to him what I had done. He used his own phone to contact Vietnam Airlines to get my flight dates moved. We booked the family room which was listed as 2 rooms with 2 beds. When we checked in the family room was actually a suite with a sofa bed made into the 2nd bed and was not suitable for sleeping at all.The room itself is basic for the price paid with just concrete floors and the sheets were stained.We requested different rooms and were moved to what we had requested in the first place, 2 rooms with beds for all adults. When questioned why we were not given the rooms to start with the staff was very rude.When I had read the comments posted before on sawadee.com I had thought maybe they were biasd with farang comments misunderstanding some asia attitudes.The truth is the service from the hotel front desk staff and head waiter to both forang and Thai is rude to the point of verbally abusive. I do hope that the management of this hotel reads these reviews and changes the staff. The location of the hotel is very nice with places to eat on the beach in walking distance.
