Somkiet Buri is a beautiful resort, rooms lovely (we had a family room which was spacious, well furnished and immaculately maintained by the army of cleaners that came through like a whirlwind each morning!) The pool is gorgeous, the guy who does the massage is a genius and Rak the general manger is an extremely helpful and attentive host. We were even there for the recent Tsunami warning and were so impressed by the way that the Ao Nang authorities (but even more so the staff at Somkiet Buri) conducted the evacuation, we had two small children with us too which could have been a nightmare but we were so well looked after throughout (thanks Mom!) and really felt safe. Good Place to stay. Like the Pool side rooms. The Bathrooms need a little work, The Shower is over the bath but the shower curtin does not stop water from going everywhere. Need an exhaust fan in the bathrooms also. Over all I really like this place. Great Gardens & Great Pool. The staff are helpful.
